Drug driver arrested after crashing into trees

A drug driver was arrested during the early hours of this morning after crashing into trees in front of a house on Manchester Road, Woolston.

The incident took place at 5am when the car ploughed into several trees in front of the property.
A male was arrested at the scene after testing positive for cannabis following a drugs wipe.
Meanwhile in another incident at 19.30 last night a male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly after refusing to vacate bar premises on Sankey Street.
After being asked to leave the premises he attempted to return by climbing over a rear wall.
