WHILE vandals have struck for a second time, Woolston Park pig maker Jeff Stephens is undeterred and plans to donate his popular characters to every school and nursery in the area.

His Woolston Park pig proved so popular more than 140 people ordered one in exchange for a donation to Warrington Ambulance Station and Birchwood Fire Station.
Jeff made the little wooden pig to sit beside the fairy doors in Woolston Park. When it was vandalised he decided that he would replace it more securely and that he would also make a few for people who were prepared to make a donation.
Little did he realise, when his paramedic daughter Miranda posted his idea on a community Facebook page, that it would take legs!
Requests flew in and Jeff is well on the way to filling the demand.
However disaster struck again when Mr Piggy and all the other little figures and features were again destroyed.
The local community has expressed their sadness and outrage at whoever has destroyed this children’s attraction. Just one more act of vandalism in Woolston Park which is becoming an all too frequent occurrence.
Sadly Mr Piggy will not be returning to Woolston Park however, never one to be beaten, Jeff is going to donate a pig to each local school and nursery so that the children can continue to enjoy his presence.
Jeff made the originals because he was missing his grandchildren and wanted to bring some cheer to others. He put them in Woolston Park and screwed them down to make them secure and prevent someone picking them up and taking them home.

As the pigs proved so popular Jeff decided he would make “a few more” for people who might like to make a donation to Warrington Ambulance Station where his Daughter Miranda and her husband Stephen are both front-line Paramedics of fifteen years, with Miranda based out of Birchwood alongside Birchwood Fire Service.
Miranda’s Mum Barbara and Dad Jeff are Woolston residents of 50 years standing and look after their Grandchildren Harry and Lucy so that Miranda and Stephen can care for others.
* Plans are now in place to create a story book telling the tales of this little piggy!
