“Virtual” coffee morning for volunteers

IT’S Volunteer Week – and Healthwatch Warrington are taking the opportunity to thank their team of volunteers.

The independent organisation set up to champion the views of patients and social care service users in Warrington, rely on volunteers and although the unprecedented times mean their volunteers are not able to help in the usual way, they still want to let their volunteers know how much they appreciate them.
They are sending sending posts thanking volunteers and sharing their thoughts about making a difference with Healthwatch Warrington.
On Friday (June 5) they are holding a virtual coffee morning for all their volunteers, new and old – a perfect opportunity for those who want to talk to volunteers and find out what opportunities are available for them.
The pandemic has meant Healthwatch Warrington have had to change their approach when it comes to getting their message out. They are relying on social media and are currently looking for “Signposting Heroes”.
A spokesperson said: “These Signposting heroes will need to be active in Warrington and will share our message and signpost on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. If you are interested in this, please join our Coffee Morning or message the team at [email protected]
