POLICE broke into a house at Warrington today after becoming concerned about an ongoing incident inside.
Officers were called to the address in Statham Avenue, Orford, around 11.30am and forced their way into the property.
The level of violence allegedly offered to them was such that officers drew their tasers.
However, the man – aged 20 – was arrested without the tasers being used.
He was alleged to have carried out an assault, to have caused an affray and to have assaulted police.
A woman at the property was also arrested as she was wanted by Greater Manchester Police for an alleged breach of a court order.
Both suspects were taken into custody for questioning.
