Warning after string of burglaries and thefts

HOUSEHOLDERS have been warned to be vigilant following a string of burglaries and thefts from vehicles across Warrington.
Raiders broke into a house in Leamington Close, Great Sankey through a patio door and stole keys to enable them to steal a grey Audi A3 car.
An attempt was made to gain entry to a house in Brookfield Road, Culcheth through the back door and a similar attempt was made to break into a house in B rook Drive, Great Sankey, through a window.
A vehicle was entered a search in Smith Drive, Warrington, although nothing was stolen.
But thieves who smashed the rear window of a car in Leicester Street, Warrington got away with a passport and purse.
A mobile phone was stolen from a vehicle in Newhaven Road, Orford.
Police said motorists should ensure they did not leave items on view in parked cars.
