VIDEO: COVERAGE of the annual Disability Awareness Day at Walton Hall and Gardens which attracted thousands of people to the event organised by Warrington Disability Partnership.
No sooner was the dust settling at the 24th annual Disability Awareness Day, Warrington Disability Partnership’s Chief Executive and charity founder Dave Thompson, was planning next year’s 25th anniversary event!
DAD 2015 was the culmination of a week of various events, showcasing disability awareness, with a “can do” approach.
It is now a global event, replicated around the world, with another DAD scheduled to take place in India next week, as well as being replicated at other outposts across the world.
Supported by various sponsors, including Principal Sponsors Your Housing Group, the event has come along way in the past 24 years and is now seen as one of the highlights of the year in Warrington.
Dave said: “It’s amazing, when we came in here in 1992 we thought it was a one off event but it has survived and got stronger year on year.”
