POLICE have issued a reminder to motorists driving home from work this evening – that road conditions are still tricky.
Although the heavy snow showers of this morning have died out and the weather in the Warrington area has improved, there are still some roads which may be treacherous.
Drivers should take extra care.
Gritter and snow ploughs have been busy across the county to try and make roads safe.
Overall, motorists have driven sensibly and police have issued a “thank you” to everyone who has helped minimise disruption to the road network.
The forecast is for a cold, clear night which may bring ice and occasional snow showers.
While the showers are not expected to be as severe as this morning, it is advised that motorists driving tonight exercise caution and allow extra time for journeys.
