CHAIRMAN of Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) Dave Thompson and honorary life president Pam Thompson travelled to the House of Commons to talk about their work.
They were welcomed to the House by Warrington South MP David Mowat, and then met the Minister for Disabled People Esther McVey at a special briefing.
They talked about disability issues and the work of WDP. Dave told the Minister about the success of the annual Disability Awareness Day (DAD), and she agreed to visit this year’s event in July.
Representatives from disability organisations throughout the country attended the event Celebrating Disabled Peoples User Led Organisations Successes.
Pam said: “It was interesting to hear about the work of other organisations and to talk to Esther about WDP. We were thrilled when she said she would attend DAD.”
