NHS Warrington marked World Mental Health Day yesterday (Oct 10) with the mental health campaign “Happy? OK? Sad?”
Campaign posters and leaflets tailored for different age groups are being distributed to services and groups across Warrington to direct people to the campaign’s website www.happyoksad.org.uk
The aims of the campaign are to make people aware of simple things they can do to look after their mental health, some symptoms of common mental health problems, so people can recognise when they might need help or support and services that can offer information, advice, support or treatment.
NHS Warrington has worked with partner agencies including Warrington Borough Council, Five Boroughs Partnership and local GPs to develop the “Happy? OK? Sad?” campaign. The need for this work was highlighted by local research.
The website has been created specifically for the campaign to signpost local people to a wide range of links for support services.
