POLICE have issued an e-fit picture of a man they are seeking in connection with an assault on a woman at Warrington.
The incident was in Padgate Lane as the 27-year-old woman walked home at about 3am on July 22.
She was walking from the town centre and as she turned up the driveway to a house, the man, who had been following her, stopped and spoke to her before assaulting her.
The woman screamed – and the man ran off towards a nearby Co-op store, leaving the woman shaken but unhurt.
Police say the man was in his late twenties to early thirties, about 5ft 11 inches tall and of average build. He had short, dark brown hair and was clean shaven.
He was wearing a dark grey long-sleeved, v-neck jumper, dark jeans or trousers and may have had a Liverpool accent.
Anyone with any information is urged to call police on 101.
