Board positions for tenants

WARRINGTON’S biggest landlord is looking for volunteers from among its tenants to fill vacancies on its board and scrutiny panel.
Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) manages more than 8,700 properties across the borough and the successful candidates will have a key role to play in the management of the services it provides.
Tenants recruited onto the board will be appointed until 2014 and will play a key role in setting the Trust’s aims and policies.
The scrutiny panel consists of nine tenants who are actively involved in shaping the organisation’s services through involvement in decision making. Successful candidates for both positions will receive comprehensive training and develop skills that will help them build their CV and progress their own career.
Tenants who are interested in either position should contact Charlie Martin, board support and development officer on 0800 25 26 27 or email [email protected]
GGHT chief executive Peter Mercer said: “We are committed to involving our tenants in everything we do. These important roles will play a key role in helping us to achieve our vision of being a leading housing provider and will provide the successful individuals with a great opportunity to develop their own skills and experience.”
