Students can get away from it all

STUDENTS at a Warrington college now have the chance to get away from it all – on campus.
Priestley College has opened a new facility offering students an increase in areas for silent study.
The extension to the college’s Learning Resource Centre has been created in response to a request for more “quiet space” for study from the College Council.
Staff, students and guests celebrated at the official opening of the facility. College Council president Eve Groarke and member Chris Deans carried out the formalities and were then among the first students to take advantage of the facility as they continue their advanced level studies.
College principal Mike Southworth said: “The creation of the new silent study area is really a testament to the voice of our College Council. We regularly invite them to offer their opinions on a range of subjects which include campus developments.”
He added: “Our students now have a superb new facility that will enable them to support their studies, yet further.”
