PLANS for a 16.5m high wind turbine at Oakleigh Lodge, Barleycastle Lane, Appleton, have been turned down by Warrington planners.
Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 9, 11 and 13 – but for the second week in succession there were no winners. The jackpot will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a member of hospital staff.
