I am not a prolific reader, but do tend to like British contemporary novels. Books I can relate to. ‘You Are Here’ by Steve Horsfall is quite literally the best book I have read for years. It is about 4 thirtysomething Brits going on holiday to Crete during a crossroads in all their lives. Great retro and music references and the characters are excellent, and in particular the supporting characters.A real feelgood novel which any Brit( male or female) in their 30’s will love.
