Fire crews tackle blazing tanker lorry

FIRE crews were called out at Warrington today to deal with a blaze involving an empty tanker lorry.
The blaze was in Loushers Lane shortly before 10.30am and crews from Birchwood and Penketh went to the scene.
Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the blaze and a foam branch was also used.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus then checked the tanker for hot spots, using a thermal imaging camera.
Cause of the fire has not yet been revealed but there were no reports of injuries
