Families across Warrington are being invited to enjoy four days of free activities this summer as VPX On Tour returns throughout August.

Organised by Warrington Youth Zone and We Are Warrington, the town’s Business Improvement District, with support from local partners, VPX On Tour will take place every Wednesday throughout August, visiting Bank Park on August 5th and 12th before moving to Victoria Park on August 19th and 26th.
Each event runs from 11am until 4pm and features a wide range of free activities for children, young people and families. Visitors can enjoy inflatables, sporting activities for all ages, arts and crafts, face painting, cycling activities, a youth service bus, Girlguiding activities, dedicated activities for children and young people with SEND, and activities for early years children. Entry is free and there is no need to book.
As part of its work to promote Warrington town centre, increase footfall and support local businesses, We Are Warrington is supporting VPX On Tour, helping bring together organisations from across the town to provide free activities for local families.
Amy Dawber, Warrington BID Project Manager at Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire & Merseyside, said: “VPX On Tour is a fantastic event for Warrington families. It gives people something free to do during the summer holidays and brings lots of organisations together to support the community. We’re really pleased to be involved again this year and hope plenty of people come along over the four events.”

The programme gives families the opportunity to spend time together during the school holidays while finding out more about the organisations and services supporting communities across Warrington.
Ellie Harrison, Chief Operating Officer at Warrington Youth Zone, said: “VPX On Tour is all about creating opportunities for children and young people to have fun, make new friends and enjoy positive experiences during the summer holidays. It’s only possible because so many organisations get involved, and we’re looking forward to welcoming families back to all four events.”
Alongside the activities, families will also have the opportunity to meet organisations including Cheshire Police and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, giving people the chance to speak to local teams in an informal setting.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “VPX On Tour is a great opportunity for us to meet children, young people and families in a relaxed setting and spend time talking to the community outside of our day-to-day policing role. We’re looking forward to supporting the programme again this summer.”
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “We’re looking forward to meeting families at VPX On Tour and talking about the simple things everyone can do to stay safe over the summer holidays. It’s always a pleasure to be part of an event that brings so many people together.”
VPX On Tour is organised by Warrington Youth Zone and We Are Warrington with support from local partners committed to providing free, accessible activities for children, young people and families across the borough.
