Bailiffs instructed to evict travellers at Winwick

BAILIFFS have been instructed to remove an illegal travellers encampment which has set up camp at B&Q in Winwick, Warrington today.

Warrington Borough council had been alerted to the the unlawful encampment at the site, on Delph Lane, Winwick, along with other vehicles and associated caravans which have appeared near Europa Boulevard at Gemini, Westbrook.

The council has has spoken to the land owners and understands bailiffs have been instructed to serve eviction notices on the two groups.

Reports have also been made on social media of travellers being in the Birchwood area although Warrington Borough council are still investigating.
