Wolves hotly tipped to sign Aussie ace Kurt Gidley

WARRINGTON Wolves are being hotly tipped to sign Newcastle Knights skipper Kurt Gidley – ranked as one of the best utility players in the game.
It is being reported down under that Gidley is set to announce he will end a decorated 15 year stint in the NRL at the end of this season to play out his career at Warrington.
Gidley, who will be 33 in June, is expected to make an announcement on his future later this week with Warrington set to beat Super League rivals Catalans Dragons for his signature.
His brother Matthew, the current Knights CEO, spent four seasons with St Helens before retiring and returning to Australia.
During his time in the NRL Gidley has played 236 NRL games, representing Australia 12 times and is regarded as one of the game’s best utility players having played fullback and hooker and most positions in between.
Gidley has been playing alongside Ashton Sim’s younger brothers Korbin and Tariq Sims at the Knights.
