POLICE were advising motorists to avoid the area near Lymm Poplars Truck Stop this afternoon as lengthy queues formed following the re-opening of the McDonalds drive-thru.

Lymm Police took to social media to warn motorists to ac=void the area with more than 80 vehicles queuing and up to two hour waiting times for the re-opening of the McDonalds at Lymm Services.
Cars were being turned away if waiting times were too long.
Police advice was to avoid the area unless necessary.
The queuing problem follows on from traffic congestion caused around IKEA at Westbrook yesterday and on Winwick Road last month following the opening of Burger King.
