“Pet detectives” reunite missing cat with owner

A CAT which went missing for 18 days at Warrington has been reunited with his owner thanks to the keen observations of two young “pet detectives.”

The cat, named Bleu, was spotted by two children, Teegan and Macie, who recognised him from posters supplied by Animal Search UK, a lost pet organisation based in Cheshire.

After spotting Bleu near their home, the youngsters wanted to help reunite him with his owner, Leanne.

The family set up a cat trap and the next day at 7.35am Bleu was caught in the trap and Leanne was notified that her beloved cat was now safe.

Leanne said “I had been out every night searching for my boy thinking the worst and sat outside apartments, bin sheds, houses, rivers, tired, and an emotional wreck. But I would do it all again for this Boy.”

She ordered a campaign pack from Animal Search UK which contained specially designed and produced posters made with special waterproof paper which is attached to street furniture.

The posters certainly did the trick as the children saw a poster and recognised Bleu, which then led to him being reunited with Leanne

He was found in Grappenhall and is now happily recovering at home. He has been seen by a vet and apart from being cold, was in remarkably good shape
