IT looks set to be another fantastic Lymm Festival this year starting with the popular Food Fest kick starting the event on Thursday (June 20) and the two headline acts a sell out!

The 10 day event runs from June 20-30th, kicking of with the ever popular Food Fest on Thursday June 20 and features pretty much something for everyone!

Chairman of Lymm Festival, Ian Marks, said “We are looking forward to another exciting Festival this year. Tickets are going very well and some events sold out early on.

“This applied to our two headline acts, Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Richard Coles, and our apologies to people who were unable to buy tickets for these events.

“There are many events I am looking forward to but I will mention just three. Professor Michael Garrett, the Director of Jodrell Bank, is one of the world’s leading experts on the search for extraterrestial intelligence.

“He will tell us about recent work at Jodrell Bank on this subject and about their exciting new radio telescope called the Square Kilometre Array.

“The Badapple Theatre Company is performing ‘Frozen Roman’. An emergency meeting at a local pub gets heated as villagers rack their brains for new ways to fight imminent housing development. Surely this could never happen in Lymm!

Latin Charisma has renowned guitarist Craig Ogden and leading cellist Helen Thatcher presenting an evening of world class music with a Latin twist.
