This is followed by the 5k and 10k Trail Race for teens and adults through the beautiful Helsdale and Spud Wood with goody bags and medals for all who finish. In response to many requests from previous runners, veteran winner categories have been added. Prizes will be awarded to:
* 5k – junior male and female, senior male and female, V40 male and female, V50 male and female
* 10k – senior male and female, V40 male and female, V50 male and female
Two charities are being supported.
Race director Katy O’Connor said: “Running has a wonderful effect on health and wellbeing and this year, Lymm Festival Trail Races is proud to be supporting Mind, the mental health charity. Proceeds from the fun run will be donated to the Woodland Trust who manage Spud Wood, so every penny raised from this year’s event will go to good causes”.
