Fire crews tackle utility room blaze

TWO fire crews were called out to deal with a utility room fire at a property in Thelwall on New Year’s Eve.

One crew from Lymm and one from Warrington attended at the property on Woodlands Drive, Thelwall at 18:44 following a report of a house fire.

The crews found a fire in a utility room at the property. Two firefighters using breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire. A high pressure fan was then used to ventilate the building.

They were at the scene for just over an hour and a half. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
