VIDEO – WARRINGTON Disability Partnership, Warrington Retail Market and Santa teamed up to launch their annual accessible Christmas grotto .

The official launch day began when Santa’s sleigh arrived in Warrington Town Centre at 10:30am, followed by the grand opening of the grotto at 11am performed by the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Karen Mundry, M.P. Faisal Rashid and Ella McDonald inside Warrington Retail Market.

Excited children waited to greet and cheer Father Christmas as he made his way through the busy market.

Chief Executive of Warrington Disability Partnership, Dave Thompson MBE explained ” It has been 15 years that we have been doing the Santa’s grotto in partnership with the Warrington Retail Market. The grotto is quite exciting for us and is in honour of one of our ex-founder members, Eric James. We remember him well at this time of year.”

Santa will be in his grotto from December 1st to December 22nd every day between 10:30 am to 4pm when Santa will have to return to the North Pole to prepare for his big night on the 25th.

Children are invited to come and meet Santa and his elves inside his grotto and to see if they are on his good child list.

It is only £5 per child with some great presents and a chance to chat with Father Christmas and tell him what you want for Christmas.

All money raised will assist Warrington Disability Partnership to continue providing their services.
