Help needed for retired greyhounds

LOCAL business owner and dog lover Paul Clark from Warrington, is appealing for firms and householders to follow his lead and help get retired greyhounds back on track.
Paul, who owns professional oven valeting service Ovenu, is a member of the Manchester Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT).
He is making the appeal after money pressures have seen the charity experience a substantial drop in vital donations, coupled with an increase in the number of retired dogs coming into kennels and a reduction in the number of dogs being re-homed.
The charity, which is run by volunteers, survives entirely on charitable donations and needs to raise more than £1,000 a month to keep operating.
The RGT has been overwhelmed by an increase in the number of dogs needing a home and now has more than 40 dogs in its kennels awaiting families to adopt them.
Paul, a long standing supporter of the RGT, is pledging £1 from every oven he cleans to the charity. His firm also sponsors a retired greyhound called Kizzy and has pledged to cover the cost of her food and vets bills for life.
Kizzy has now been adopted by Paul and his family.
