TOM Darlington celebrated his 100th birthday in style with a game of snooker down at his local British Legion Club.
Tom, who was joined by family and friends at Stockton Heath Royal British Legion, still enjoys a weekly game of snooker at the club where he has been a member for 30 years.
In recognition of his special occasion Tom, from Grappenhall, was presented with a special long service award by Eric Williamson, the County Chairman of Cheshire Royal British Legion.
A widower for more than 20 years Tom was joined at the event by his two daughters Christine and Elizabeth.
He didn’t see active service as he had a reserved occupation as a cost clerk at Fletcher Russells. He later became an accounts manager at a local newspaper.
As well as snooker he still enjoys dancing.
The secret to his long years is “keeping active” and enjoying his snooker!
He is pictured with family and friends at his birthday celebrations and enjoying a game of snooker.
