WARRINGTON Wolves fans Nicola Hampson, 33 and Richard Lee, 28 tied the knot in a ceremony that celebrated their other love – Rugby League.
The pair, from Warrington, were married at the sports Dacia Magic Weekend at St James’ Park, in Newcastle in a ceremony witnessed by their son Jacob, aged 10 and 14 of their closest friends and family.
Also among their guests were Rugby League legends and Dacia ambassadors Paul Sculthorpe and Kylie Leuluai.
They enjoyed a wedding breakfast fit for a king and queen, a cake inspired by their love of Rugby League and then carried the ball onto the pitch for the Hull KR v Hull FC match the following day.
The pair continued the party with their guests throughout the weekend from the comfort of an exclusive private box.
Nicola and Richard won their super wedding in a competition run by car maker Dacia by submitting a picture which showed their love for Rugby League.
Afterwards, they said: “We love each other, we love rugby, and now thanks to Dacia we have had the chance to do one of the most memorable things we can do as a family.”
