Badger group on patrol

EXPERTS are keeping watch on badger sets following reports of “badger baiting” in the Appleton area.
But members of the Wirral and Cheshire Badger Group have found no evidence of baiting.
The group surveyed the area after local resident Patrick Mullee told Stockton Heath Parish Council he had heard reports in the local community that badger baiting was taking place in the Hill Cliffe area.
They found a lot of badger sets but, says Mr Mullee, no evidence of baiting.
He said: “The badger group is now aware of all the sets in the area and is keeping watch.”
