Family pay tribute to father of four killed in Birchwood crash

THE family of a father of four who tragically died in a collision on the A574 Birchwood Way, Warrington yesterday evening, have paid tribute to him.

Carl Greenway, aged 36 from Culcheth, sadly died at the scene when the Silver Lotus Elise he was driving was involved in a collision with a Silver Vauxhall Zafira.

The collision took place near to the bus lane east of the junction of Oakwood Gate at 7.46pm yesterday, Wednesday 7 June.

No one else was injured as a result of the collision.

His family said in a statement issued by police : “He was a mechanic and a loving father of four children. He loved his children very much and would take them on bike rides, including all over Yorkshire, and take them bowling.

“He was polite and lived life to the full. He was fun to be around, loved and will be missed very much by all the family.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 915 of 07/06/17.
