Hungry seal enjoys fish feast on River Mersey

3

A HUNGRY seal was spotted enjoying a fish feast on the River Mersey at Warrington by local photographer Darren Moston.

Darren who lives in Latchford and enjoys taking wildlife pictures around the town, was in the right place at the right time to capture a stunning picture of the seal feasting on a large Pike.

There have been numerous seal sightings in the Mersey in Warrington in the past couple of years – and judging by the size of the Pike it is no surprise they keep returning for more!

Most sightings have been near Warrington Rowing Club or near the stretch of the Mersey near Victoria Park.

As these pictures show, the hungry seal soon made a meal out of the Pike!

  1. Ah yes SHA those evil seals, why can’t they kill their prey humanely , just like the pike do? 😀 😀 😀 It’s nature, get over it.

    Great photos.
