A WARRINGTON schoolboy had the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes during a work experience placement at college.
Sir Thomas Boteler pupil Stephen Dean, 15, took on a variety of roles during his two weeks at Priestley College.
Stephen, who is currently studying for his GCSEs and is interested in music and drama, plans to enrol at the college later. He worked as an assistant in business support.
He completed a packed programme and was able to work with the performing arts technician prior to the launch of the latest show “A Chorus Line.”
He also worked with the art and design technician to design graphics and in marketing where he helped by giving his views on the college’s website.
He said: “Music and Performing Arts are the areas that interest me, so to be able to spend quite a bit of time working with staging and lighting prior to the technical run for the latest show was very interesting.
“I’ve really enjoyed working at the college as I found people went out of their way to help me and it confirmed that I want to study at Priestley in the future.”
Priestley’s marketing officer Nat Ashurst said: “It was a pleasure to spend some time working with Stephen whilst he was on campus, his enthusiasm really shone through. Everybody at the college wishes him the very best of luck as he continues with his GCSEs.”
