Festival of Remembrance returns to St Elphin’s Church

1

Tickets are now available for Warrington’s annual Festival of Remembrance, taking place at St Elphin’s Church on Saturday 7th November.

Hosted by Warrington’s 1330 Air Cadet Squadron, the event is continuing a long-standing local tradition and is honouring the service and sacrifice of past generations who gave everything for our freedom.
As well as offering a fitting tribute to our armed forces community, the evening will bring together performances from Warrington Male Voice Choir, Warrington Brass Band, and pupils from St Elphin’s CE Primary School. The cadets themselves also join the lineup, with their own choir also taking centre stage.
Leader of the air cadets, Flight Lieutenant Alan Radcliffe, is eager to welcome as many people as possible to attend, emphasising how the Cadets work relentlessly to keep the event going year after year.

Doors open at 6:30pm, ready for a 7:00pm start, and the cadets look forward to welcoming you to a memorable night. The evening promises to supply both quality entertainment and thoughtful tributes as we pay our respects. All whilst showcasing the incredible talent our town has to offer.
Is this something which you don’t want to miss out on? Full details on how to reserve tickets are available on the Warrington 1330 Air Cadet Squadron Facebook page.

  1. I’ll be returning as former mayor to the Mayor’s Parish church when I was president of the Male Voice Choir and now a member trying hard to remember my words.

We were there yesterday at Nigel Kirk’s memorial, a long serving member who seems to have done every job for the choir.

It was a full church of his friends and family including colleagues from his 20 year army career.
