Warrington residents are being encouraged to nominate inspiring young people and outstanding community members for Warrington Youth Zone’s annual awards.
The awards will take place on Tuesday, January 26, 2027, at Warrington Youth Zone, celebrating the achievements, determination, kindness and contributions of people across the borough.
Organisers are calling on the public to shine a spotlight on those who have made a difference, whether through overcoming personal challenges, developing new skills, achieving success or quietly going above and beyond to help others.
There are 10 award categories recognising a wide range of achievements, from creativity, sport and entrepreneurship to volunteering and community service.
The categories are Young Creative Artist of the Year, Young Sportsperson of the Year, Nick Hopkinson Award – Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Digital Innovator of the Year and Young Fundraiser of the Year.
Also included are the Rea Muir Award – Inspirational Young Person of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year, Young Warringtonian of the Year, Candice Roberts Award – Adult Volunteer of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards provide an opportunity to recognise the people who help make Warrington a special place to live, work and grow up.
Nominations are now open and will close at midnight on Monday, November 30, 2026.
People are welcome to nominate more than one individual, but are asked to submit only one nomination per person.
Anyone with questions about the awards or nomination process can contact the Warrington Youth Zone team.
