RAIN washed out all Saturday cricket in the Warrington area.
It was the first time the weather had interfered with the local programme this summer – but it made a good job of it.
In a couple of matches the captains managed to toss a coin before the deluge. But in most the game was cancelled even before they reached that stage.
The washout left Grappenhall just one place above the relegation zone and Warrington in a mid-table position in their respective leagues.
Appleton are placed second in their league and looking good for promotion but Lymm Oughtrington Park are second from bottom in their league and needing a few good results to avoid the drop.
Glazebury sit at the bottom of their league.
