WARRINGTON’S St. Rocco’s Hospice is inviting members of the community to gift their time and become a Retail Volunteer at one of their shops across the town.
They are seeking volunteers to help support the compassionate care provided to patients, their loved ones, and the wider Warrington community.
Whether volunteers can spare one day a month or a few hours each week, every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
Opportunities are available in one of St. Rocco’s shops, where volunteers can help welcome customers, sort donated goods, research valuable items, and create eye-catching displays to maximise fundraising income.
For those looking for a more hands-on role, volunteering opportunities are also available at the Distribution Centre in Penketh. Volunteers will assist with sorting donated clothing and homeware, as well as preparing items sold through the hospice’s e-commerce platforms.
St. Rocco’s is also recruiting volunteers for its award-winning eBay store, which generates vital funds by selling high-value, unusual, and collectable items to customers worldwide. Roles include researching and selecting items for sale, photographing, listing products online, and packaging and dispatching orders.
Volunteering with St. Rocco’s provides an opportunity to meet new people, build friendships within the local community, and develop valuable new skills. It is also an excellent way to enhance a CV while gaining hands-on retail experience in a rewarding environment.
By joining the St. Rocco’s volunteer team, individuals will play a vital role in supporting people living with life-limiting illnesses across Warrington, helping the hospice continue delivering essential care and support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses and those important to them.
