MOTORISTS were advised to avoid the area following a collision which resulted in a car flipping on its roof on London Road, Appleton, this afternoon.
Officers were at the scene of the collision on London Road, Warrington, involving a car on its roof and road closures were put in place at the junction of Lyons Lane and Broomfields Road.
The road has since reopened.
A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: “At around 3pm today, Thursday 21 May, police were called to a collision involving a green Toyota Rav4 and a blue Toyota Yaris on London Road, Warrington. One of the vehicles overturned as a result of the collision.
“Minor injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.”
