GRAPPENHALL’S disappointing start to the season continued with a third successive defeat.

But there were signs of an improvement as a number of players turned in useful performances in the home game against Christleton.
Jason Batson hit 59 and Daniel Adkins 52 as Grappers batted first and reached 229-9. Tom Brimelow also batted well to register 30.
Sam Guest took 3-57 as the visitors replied with 232-7 and four other Grappers bowlers picked up a wicket each

Grappenhall 2nd travelled to Upton and lost by 91 runs after the home team had totalled 255-9. Stanley Pennington took 3-42 and Zach Tully 4-50. Grappenhall were bowled out for 164, despite useful mid-order knocks from Paul Radage, 31, Zach Tully 37 and skipper Graeme Rowlands, 35.

Warrington went down by four wickets at home to Ashton-on-Mersey after being dismissed for a disappointing 73, Liam Jenkins top scoring with 24.
The visitors also found runs hard to get but reached their modest target despite Ali and Wright taking three wickets each for Warrington.
Warrington 2nd won at Ashton-on-Mersey after dismissing the home side for 135. Anees Umar took 6-13.
Umar followed his bowling performance with a well-struck 41 not out and Avanish Panday hit 36 as
Warrington replied with 139-7.
Warrington 3rd hit 196-9 at home to Macclesfield , A Shinde top scoring with 43 not out. The home side hit off the runs for the loss of five wickets.

Lymm Oughtrington Park lost by seven wickets at Langley after being bowled out for 107, Adam McVey top-scoring with 27. The home side cantered to victory with 110-3.
Lymm 2nd had a comfortable 77 run victory at home to Timperley.
C Hardie hit 57 and G Parsons 31 as Lymm hit 218-9. The home side cold only muster 141.
Lymm 3rd, 53 all out, suffered a heavy defeat against Brooklands, 244, and nd Lymm 4th lost by six wickets at Tattenhall.

Appleton lost by eight wickets at Trafford Metrovics after being bowled out for 122. But Appleton 2nd won by seven wickets after dismissing Barnton for 49. Appleton 3rd won by three wickets at Frodsham
Appleton 4th lost by 24 runs at Bunbury.

Glazebury 2nd enjoyed a nine wicket win at home to Warrington 4th after bowling the visitors out for 99. Tom Whitby and David Nicholson took four wickets each.
Glazebury raced to victory with opener Steve Bell hitting 21 not out and Seth Barnes 56 not out.
