GRAPPENHALL went down again in their Cheshire County League game on Saturday – despite their batsmen again posting a respectable total.
Batting first against Urmston, they hit 208 – something of a recovery as they were at one time 98-7.
Former Lymm Oughtrington Park skipper Travis Scholes, who has moved to Grappenhall, led the fightback with a well-struck 64 – half of which were scored during a defiant last-wicket partnership of 45 with last man Ben Bravington who contributed a stubborn 11 not out.
Earlier, Daniel Adkins hit 30 and Samuel Guest 28.
It was all in vain, however as Urmston cruised to victory with 209-4. Guest took 2-27.
The result leaves Grappers still looking for their first win of the season.
Warrington also lost after being bowled out for 164 by Tattenhall, despite a plucky 51 from James Lewis.
Liam Jenkins was the pick of the Warrington bowlers with 2-45.
