ORGANISERS of this year’s Penketh Carnival are hoping it will be a scorcher with forecasts predicting temperatures in the mid-20s!

Leila Dirir one of the volunteer organisers of the event that takes place this Saturday (July 9)said. “We couldn’t have asked for a better weather forecast. The community seems really excited about the event and we hope it is going to be huge success!!

“The event is a platform for all the local charities and good causes to raise money with their stalls and we hope that collectively thousands of pounds will be raised on the day.
“The whole event is free to enter and we have so many free activities for the children and adults to enjoy! Please come along with your picnic blanket and enjoy the day with us ”
