WARRINGTON Youth Zone, the new state-of-the-art facility for young people, is set to open its doors on Saturday, giving thousands of young people across the town somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

The Youth Zone on Dallam Lane, close to Warrington Central Station and Warrington Bus Station, making it easy for everyone to get to, is far more than a social club, offering youngsters a place to stay fit, pursue their creative passions and learn new skills.

The centre boasts some impressive tech too, which has been generously procured and installed by Urban IT Solutions, a Warrington-based IT services provider.

“The Youth Club has been our charity of choice for years,” said Samantha Spiro, Urban IT Solutions’ Managing Director. “We’re thrilled to see them start the next chapter as the Youth Zone. They do amazing work and we’ll keep supporting them however we can.”

The purpose-built facility for people aged 7-19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs) builds on the legacy of Warrington Youth Club, a well-respected charity who have been active in the community for decades.

Open seven days a week, the zone will offer over 20 activities every night for an annual cost of only £5 plus 50p per visit.

The centre is part of a network of similar independent youth organisations, developed by the charity OnSide Youth Zones, which all share the same principles.

Warrington joins the OnSide Youth Zones network which welcomes over 50,000 members per year. The North West is already home to existing facilities in Bolton, Wigan, Manchester, Oldham and The Wirral.

In addition to the cutting-edge tech kindly installed by Urban IT Solutions, the facility offers lots to look forward to, including:
● A huge sports hall with space for badminton, football, netball and basketball games and a separate climbing wall.
● A fitness suite complete with the latest gym equipment, boxing facilities and regular martial arts classes.
● Self-improvement classes, including employability workshops.
● Dedicated spaces for dance, music and film.
● Arts and crafts, fashion and design.
● A cafe serving up a wide variety of healthy food and drinks, perfect for chilling with friends.

And much, much more!

Warrington Youth Zone’s mission is to inspire young people to achieve. And Samantha Spiro believes the new technology is going to be a major factor in empowering them to reach their full potential.

“Technology should empower people. When we work with businesses we make sure their tech helps them do their best work. We hope the Youth Zone’s tech enables them to accomplish whatever they want to achieve.”
