Bungalow to make way for Georgian-style house at Lymm

PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead to proposals for the demolition of a bungalow in Grammar School Road, Lymm to make way for a new detached house.

The scheme is the latest of a number in the road – some of which were opposed by existing residents because of their size.
But only one objection was received in connection with the new development – and this related to the impact of construction traffic in Grammar School Road.

The proposed new house to replace the bungalow is described as a traditionally designed, Georgian-style family home – a detached house with a double garage.
A Warrington Borough Council planning officer’s report on the scheme says the new dwelling would be respectful of local aesthetic character and would not have a significantly overbearing impact on neighbouring houses or gardens.
Highways issues raised by a neighbour are noted but cannot be considered as planning issues.
They are a matter for the police.
