Woolston Community Primary School receives £2,465 for outdoor play project

Woolston Community Primary School has recently received a donation of £2,465 from Ingevity Corporation for its Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) lunchtime project.

Ingevity’s donation funded playground equipment that promotes inclusive, active and imaginative play for all students, including those with autism and learning disabilities.

The new play area builds creativity and confidence, making all students, including those with disabilities, feel included. It is deeply rewarding to know that this initiative will have a lasting, positive impact.”

The OPAL initiative at Woolston Community Primary School opens a wide range of outdoor spaces—including sand pits, garden areas, and mud kitchens—to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play. Ingevity’s donation completed the final phase of the project, ensuring the equipment is accessible to all students.
