If you’re willing to positively promote our campaign with your family, friends and neighbours, maybe with parents at the school gate, in the pub or at the game, then sign up to become a champion. To help, you’ll receive some branded goodies to help you promote the scheme when you’re out walking your dog.
There’s a champion pin badge, along with a branded backpack, reflective arm band, an individual doggy bag dispenser and some extra doggy bags as well as a doggy bandana.
Cllr John Kerr-Brown, cabinet member for environment, housing and public protection said: “Are you fed up of fouling? We all are – and we can all play a part in tackling the issue. Dog mess can be a real blight on our communities and can spoil places we use every day such as sport pitches, green spaces and the pavements we walk on.
“We know responsible dog owners always pick up, but we also know that approximately one third only pick up if they think they’ll be spotted! That’s why we want responsible dog owners to sign up to our campaign to show how many people believe everyone should always pick up the muck!
“Get involved and show support for our fight against fouling. We’d also love to receive photos of your dog wearing the doggy bandana to use on our social media to further promote the campaign.”

Once again WBC asking for the publics support
Why can’t the local councillors give up their own time ?
Is it only councillors who own dogs? Surely it’s the responsibility of every dog owner to keep our communities free from dog fouling?
