ANOTHER outstanding performance from Warrington Rylands saw them defeat Mickleover 1-2 at the Don Amott Arena in Derby, taking them to eight games undefeated in all competitions.
Mickleover play on a 3G pitch which is perfect for the flowing style of Rylands who controlled the first half with complete domination.
The first goal came after 21 minutes when a powerful header from Matt Regan beat the in-form Yusuf Mersin in the home goal. Mersin, throughout the match, would prevent The Blues from scoring 4 or 5 goals.
Warrington did put the ball into the net again soon after but the referee disallowed it, to the disappointment of Alex Kiwomya.

Mickleover competed much better in the second half and their efforts were rewarded with a questionable penalty in injury time, but Warrington stood firm and saw the game out.
“To come away from home and control the game the way we did, I’m really pleased” said Manager Neil Reynolds.
“I thought we were excellent” he went on, “”they’ve got a penalty that probably wasn’t, but we’ve made some unbelievable chances – their keeper has probably made two of the saves of the season today.”
“We didn’t just find a way to win, we controlled the game and there were some excellent individual performances, but the team as a whole did really, really well.”
Warrington Rylands now sit comfortably in 13th place in the league table with games in hand on those above them.
Next Saturday they travel to Bamber Bridge who are placed just outside the relegation zone. The Brig will be full of confidence after an impressive draw against Stockton Town.
