A TALENTED student from Warrington has been highly commended for his creative abilities in a competitive photography challenge.
Budding photographer, Lok, secured the first place prize in the anticipated creative competition, hosted by Abbey College Manchester following a recent trip to London.
Students from the leading independent college’s Art and Photography Department visited the vibrant capital city, where they toured the galleries and sites, while also experiencing some of London’s culture and events. Taking inspiration from their surroundings, the cohort was tasked with capturing an array of images to contribute to their portfolios and the college’s competition.
Judging the multitude of entries, Rhona Delaney-Willis, Head of Art at Loreto, praised Lok’s masterpiece and expressed that she was “impressed with the composition and the way the individual figures have been captured in each space”. Rhona added that she “likes the way that the image reveals a hidden world, and the exposure has captured the lighting and reflection perfectly.”
Principal of Abbey College Manchester, Chris Randell commented: “The level of creative talent here at Abbey College Manchester is exceptionally high and so, this is a fantastic achievement for Lok. He has produced an inspirational piece of work and we are very proud of him for his efforts.”
