Care home staff and residents keeping emergency services food fueled and ready to go

STAFF and Residents at Westvale House Care Home in Old Hall are going one step further to support their local emergency services.

The door to the home is always open for Emergency Services and Blue Light Professionals to visit and grab a brew and slice of cake.
This month however, the home decided to go one step further.  Knowing how busy the services are, staff hand delivered hearty breakfast baps of bacon and sausage to the station crews as part of their ‘Breakfast To Go’ initiative.

As a way of saying thank you to the paramedics, nurses, police officers and other emergency services workers who are always on the go, the team and the Residents of Westvale House will provide free food and drink to all emergency service staff.
Jackie Bray, the General Manager of Westvale House has extended the invitation throughout the local area, stating that “to say thank you for all of the great work our emergency services do for us, we are inviting all members of the police, ambulance and fire services to pop in and take their duty break on us for free!  Our Residents love to chat and a visit from the local police or fire officer will really make their day.  Our comfortable facilities include free Wi-Fi and service with a smile; do stop in and say hi, we would be delighted to see you!”

Westvale House Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Westvale House provides residential care, nursing care and respite care.
