MISCHIEF is in the air for visitors to Warrington’s latest attraction, the Land of Lights festival!

For amongst the gigantic lanterns inspired by much-loved characters, animals, and wonders of the natural world is none other than Minnie the Minx and her friends, whose vivid colours and vibrancy are lighting up the night sky.
The classic Beano scene, featuring Minnie the Minx – whose 70th anniversary is celebrated this month, alongside Dennis and Gnasher, showcases the famous characters in all their glory and is not to be missed!
A favourite for 85 years, Beano serves up weekly helpings of mischief and mayhem following the lively adventures of characters such as Dennis, Minnie the Minx, Bananaman, Rodger the Dodger and the Bash Street Kids.

Ross Partridge, Land of Lights Festival Manager, said: “The characters from Beano are iconic so to see them lit up and shining bright at our festival is wonderful. They are turning out to be a real favourite amongst our guests who love a bit of mischief and adventure just like Dennis and his pals!
“We are so pleased the festival is now open as there really is something to take your breath away around every corner! Beano is one of a number of magnificent lanterns we have on show and we can’t wait for people to come and see what we have on offer for themselves.”

Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts has enjoyed a successful partnership with Beano, the world’s longest running weekly comic, brokered by local licensing agent Rocket Licensing Ltd, which sees Dennis and Gnasher make daily appearances for photo and meet and greet opportunities throughout the year.
Land of Lights, being held at Gulliver’s World, boasts a one-mile-long wonderland of illuminations and has seen more than 100 people involved in the hand-crafted production process, undertaken by the American-owned Zigong Lantern Group, an award-winning custom designer and manufacturer of handcrafted lamp art.

The event runs until 25 February 2024 and ticket prices start at £15. To book and/or find out more about Land of Lights please visit: landoflights.co.uk
