Two fire crews tackle kitchen fire at Great Sankey

TWO fire crews were called out earlier today, Friday, to tackle a kitchen fire at a property in Great Sankey, Warrington.

At 12:59 crews from Penketh and Warrington were called to reports of a kitchen fire at a property on Ross Close, Great Sankey.

They used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which is believed that have been caused by cardboard being left on a cooker hob.
Crews also used a large fan to clear the property of smoke.
