A TEAM of volunteers from Warrington-based housebuilder Wain Homes is standing ready to help charities ad community groups across the North West.

They are being given paid time off work to help good causes as part of the firm’s “Helping Hands” charity initiative.
After a successful launch, the company has extended the scheme for a further 12 months.
The team has already undertaken various volunteering tasks at schools, hospices, etc, across the North West.

Managing director Richard Chamberlain said: “We launched ‘Helping Hands’ last year to mark the company’s 50th anniversary and it was great to see the positive difference our team made to so many groups and organisations in their local area.
“Our role as a responsible builder means we care about the communities we build in and we’re proud that everyone who works for us does too. And they don’t just say it, they show it through getting involved, supporting all kinds of organisations.”
During the past 12 months, Wain’s employees have volunteered around 150 days helping in their communities.

Mr Chamberlain added: “The feedback we got from every organisation which our team supported last year was how willing our people were to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in and it was heart-warming to hear how they all worked as a team and made a real difference.
“The Wain team is dedicated to helping make every area in which we build the best place to live it can be and this was evident in the enthusiasm with which they tackled every project.
“From painting school fences and creating nursery playgrounds, to giving some love and attention to hospice gardens and tidying up beaches, we got the jobs done and we are looking forward to more of the same this year.”
Wain Homes is now inviting anyone who is in need of some ‘Helping Hands’ across the North West to get in touch.
So if you have a school that needs painting, land that needs tending or just need an extra pair of hands for your good cause, Wain has more than 300 pairs ready and waiting to help.
