Wolves maintain 100% record as odds continue to shorten

Warrington Wolves secured their fourth win in a row to remain top of the Super League table. Both Wolves and Catalan Dragons won 18-10 to extend their 100% records and open up a four point gap on the rest of the league.

Wolves’ start to the season is all the more impressive given it follows a forgettable 2022 when they finished 11th, and it may prove more than a flash in the pan if betting sites are to be believed.

Wolves began the season priced at 8/1 to win the League Leaders Shield, but have been cut to just 3/1, alongside Wigan Warriors and behind just St Helens, who remain favourites despite their latest defeat.

It’s an elusive Super League Grand Final victory that Wolves really crave though, having fallen just short on four occasions, but bookmakers are a tad more wary here. Wolves started the campaign at 8/1 but can still be backed at 4/1, with both St Helens and the Warriors ahead of them.

Wolves fans must hope it won’t be a case of deja vu come September and the play-offs.
